Terms
Terms of Service
Last updated July 19, 2026
These terms govern your purchase and use of First Counsel’s website design, build, hosting, and maintenance services. By approving a sitemap, paying a deposit, or starting a subscription, you agree to these terms.
Service and scope
The $199-per-month plan includes custom design and copy based on your intake, website development, hosting, SSL, domain setup and management, two revision rounds before launch, and one reasonable edit round per month after launch. Material new features, rebrands, or work outside that scope require a separate written quote. Email inboxes and mailbox administration are not included.
Deposit and subscription billing
The intake is free. After you approve the sitemap, a $99 deposit reserves your build slot. The deposit is refundable until production work begins and non-refundable after production work begins. Refunds are handled manually through Stripe.
When your site goes live, the deposit is credited in full against the first $199 subscription invoice. You pay the remaining $100 at go-live, so the total for month one is $199. There is no setup fee. The recurring $199-per-month subscription begins at go-live, with the next charge approximately one month later.
Cancellation and site handover
You may cancel at any time by emailing us. Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not reverse charges already paid except where these terms, applicable law, or a separate written agreement requires a refund.
After six paid months of service, cancellation includes handover of the site repository, site copy, and brand assets created for the project so you can host the site elsewhere. Third-party software, fonts, stock assets, and services remain subject to their own licenses. If you cancel before six paid months, code handover is not included in the subscription but may be available under a separately agreed buyout.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide, confirming that you have rights to supplied content and assets, and reviewing the site before launch. Do not provide privileged client files or identifiable client information unless you are authorized to do so and it is necessary for the project. You remain responsible for your professional and advertising-law obligations.
Third-party services
Payments are processed by Stripe, and the site and intake flow rely on third-party hosting, data, analytics, and email providers. Their availability and separate terms may affect the service. We do not receive or store your full payment-card number.
Legal review and contact
These terms are an operational accuracy pass and have not yet received professional legal review. Governing law, dispute venue, liability limits, and early-buyout mechanics should be reviewed by qualified counsel before launch. We may update these terms as the service changes; the date above identifies the current version.
